Client work

A learning and community app where aesthetics professionals take courses, join live training, and grow their clinics. I joined its small product team and led the technically complex work: the platform migration, payments, releases, and the AI coach.

Inside ProFinity

## Courses, coaching, and live training.

Screens from ProFinity’s 2026 design prototype, the reference for the app’s next learning experience. Swipe or scroll to explore. The current version is live on the App Store and Google Play.

Open a lesson

A lesson inside its module, with the video, a written summary, overall course progress, and a link to share that lesson.

Work through a module

Each module lists its lessons with their durations, tracks progress, and points to the next module once this one is done.

Watch and complete

The lesson player pairs the video with an overview and resources, then moves the learner on when they mark it complete.

Meet the AI team

The Agents tab introduces Ava, a business coach, alongside other assistants, and shows which ones the member's plan includes.

Join live training

Upcoming events show what is live now and who is hosting, with options to open the event or add it to a calendar.

## The starting point.

ProFinity brings Dr Tim Pearce’s aesthetic training, a clinician community, live events, and memberships into one app. When I joined, it ran on Firebase, purchases were spread across WooCommerce, GoHighLevel, and Stripe, and the Android app was not yet in production on Google Play. The job was a foundation the small team could keep shipping on.

## What I led

### From Firebase to Supabase

I moved the app’s data and sign-in from Firebase to Supabase and PostgreSQL: migration scripts, a staged switch of every read and write, and row-level security policies, so access rules are enforced by the database rather than the screens.

### Payments and memberships

I moved payment processing into secure server functions, then connected WooCommerce and GoHighLevel purchases to course access. That includes a 30-day premium trial, passwordless sign-in codes for claiming a purchase, and an admin mapping with an audit trail.

### Releases that ship

I took on store publishing first and cleared the path to Google Play production. Then I set up Codemagic and GitHub Actions pipelines, fixed iOS and Android build breakages, worked through App Store review feedback, and added a forced-update gate for outdated versions.

### A course platform

I migrated the legacy WordPress course library into the app and built the course editor: content blocks, PDF lessons on signed URLs, quizzes, nested modules, interactive HTML lessons, shareable lesson links, and resumable video uploads up to 5 GB.

### An AI coach that knows the catalog

I connected the AI coach to the course catalog and to the member’s plan, so its suggestions link to courses that member can open. In-course AI search jumps to the matching lesson and the moment in the video.

### Measurement with consent

I added consent-gated PostHog analytics across web and mobile: sign-up and purchase-claim funnels, rage-click diagnostics, and alerts when a campaign sends people to a broken claim link.

For your technical team

Flutter and Dart for iOS, Android, and the web; Supabase with PostgreSQL, row-level security, and Edge Functions; Firebase Cloud Messaging for push; Stripe, WooCommerce, and GoHighLevel for commerce; PostHog for analytics; Codemagic and GitHub Actions for builds and releases. ProFinity is the client’s product: its brand, design, and product direction belong to the ProFinity team, and the engineering described here is my part of it.

## Building an app for a clinic?

Member content by plan, purchases from the systems you already use, releases that get through review, and analytics that respect consent. Tell me what your clients should see, and I’ll help scope a first version.
